We now have all these lovely keywords that are relevant to your particular business so where do they go? The fact is there are multiple locations and a few tricks that you can use to get the most out of these keywords.

Before we get too involved in the hidden aspects of SEO lets look at the basic structure of your website starting with menu links. The amount of websites we see that have the following menu structure is all too common but they are missing a valuable trick.

These are all perfectly good menu links but if you read them they really tell you nothing about the actual website. Menus and links within pages are an extremely important part of spider navigation as well as giving the user a simplistic way of viewing your content. If we take the above menu structure and add a few tweaks then we then reinforce the SEO.

This menu achieves the same goal but with the added weight of the keywords. Links within pages to other pages on your site are also extremely valuable as not only does it make navigation easy for the user it allows spiders easy access to additional content.

Cross Referencing Content

As an example if you wrote a paragraph on your front page and used the phrase “contact our disco” then adding a hyperlink to your contact page will make for intuitive navigation for the user and spiders.

Additional pages to your website does not need a direct link from you main menu, they can simply be a hyperlink on a page. If you wanted to reinforce a service then a page can be written covering that topic with hyperlinks on numerous pages navigating to that particular information.

Using this method of navigation works very well as the very fact the user is reading the paragraph means the content is relevant to their search and adding related links within that paragraph improves their ability to browse your site.
